Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
1 fl oz Hayman's London Dry Gin from freezer
12 fl oz Blended Scotch whisky
12 fl oz Irish whiskey
1 fl oz Mead chilled
× 1 1 serving
Read about cocktail measures and measuring

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.

How to make:

  1. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish:

  1. EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

The lemon zest twist is the only non-British ingredient in this patriotic, mead-infused riff on a Paisley Martini, but the citrus oils help pull the trio of British spirits into Martini territory.

History:

Created by yours truly in April 2026.

The son of Mary, Queen of Scots, and a great-great-grandson of Henry VII, King James VI was the King of Scotland from 24 July 1567. Then, on 24 March 1603, with the union of the English and Scottish crowns, he became King of England and Ireland with the title "James I". He reigned over all three kingdoms for 22 years, a period known as the Jacobean era, until he died in 1625.
