Serve in a Hurricane glass

Ingredients:
1 oz Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old)
1 oz Caribbean blended rum aged 6-10 years
1 oz Giffard Caribbean Pineapple liqueur
16 oz Monin Coconut Syrup
16 oz Monin Passion Fruit Syrup
1 oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Hurricane glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of pineapple, Luxardo Maraschino Cherry & paper parasol.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.

Being a big rum drinker and having many original tiki mugs and cocktail books, I found this a little on the disappointing side. It wasn't awful, but seems to lack some flavours. The pineapple and coconut flavours were weak, and not what I was expecting from anything with Colada in its name.
