Just tried this three times in a row with three different fortified wines and Cimarron reposado for the tequila. Noilly Prat dry left this beyond mute. Lillet Blanc added little interest. This was great, but not what I was expecting. You can really taste the tequila. Went great with a Mexican food dinner, but would work with also with any spicy or flavourful dish.
