Ingredients:
1 23 oz Patrón Silver blanco tequila
12 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
16 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
16 oz Acidic cocktail mixer
4 drop Difford's Margarita Bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
  5. EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

This translucent margarita is made with an acid mixture replacing lime juice. Why? Besides being crystal clear, the omission of lime juice makes it possible to both batch and package this cocktail.
