Serve in a Coupe glass
3 dried | Green cardamom pods |
1 2⁄3 oz | Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old) |
1⁄2 oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄3 oz | Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup) |
4 drop | Bob's Cardamom bitters |
1⁄3 oz | Chilled water |
Garnish: Lime zest twist (discarded) & lime wedge on rim
Cut zest from your lime for garnish prior to squeezing for juice. MUDDLE cardamom in base of shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.
A charcoal-filtered light rum works best as more full-bodied rums simply don't sit well with the cardamon. Hit the right balance with the right rum and this delicately cardamon-influenced daiquiri is delicious.
