With "House Identity" at the heart of this year's competition, teams were challenged to explore their creativity while showcasing their personality, team spirit and engagement with their guests.
Each bar team showcased three cocktails on the night, bringing to life their House identity in a low alcohol/low sugar cocktail, a coffee cocktail and a drink created for one of their favourite house members. The drinks were then judged against Soho House principles - speed, flavour, simplicity and consistency.
Judging panel, from left to right: Pierre Dourneau, Soho House COO, North America, Tom Vernon, Woodford Reserve Global Brand Ambassador, our very own Simon Difford, Founder of Difford's Guide and Hannah Sharman-Cox, MD & Founder Drink-Up London.
Following careful consideration, the judges announced three front-runners - the winners of Best Drink, Best Video, and the overall winners of the Soho House Cocktail Cup 2019.
Congratulations to Soho House 76 Dean Street; Matteo Battistello, Travis Francis, Maurizio Siani and Albano Vazquez Ordonez, the champions for a second year running! The team won an incredible VIP trip to the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Kentucky, USA, the Soho House Cocktail Cup and a party for the entire bar team.
The Best Drink of the competition was awarded to Soho House Barcelona; Alberto Terenghi, Lorenzo Gradassi, Manuel Sciaudone and Giuseppe Calcinella.
From Little Beach House Malibu, Brent Liebman, Christopher Jackson, Douglas Noble and Branca Machado, won Best Video of the competition.
And congratulations to all other finalists, Dumbo House Brooklyn, USA and White City House, UK. The night was fantastic, from team spirit and diverse personalities to superb drinks and creative videos, the audience were blown away with the bartending talent on stage - we're looking forward to next year already!
