How to make:
SHAKE first 4 ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass. TOP with soda.
|1 1/4 fl oz||Americano bianco|
|3/4 fl oz||Fernet liqueur|
|1 fl oz||Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)|
|1/3 fl oz||Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)|
|2 fl oz||Thomas Henry Pink Grapefruit soda|
Top with soda and immediately serve/enjoy. Experiencing this cocktail's light fluffy foamy entry to its bittersweet, earthy, almost coal dust and liquorice herbal depths is so good you'll want a fresh one to suck the foam off of. A triumph!
Adapted from a recipe created in 2012 by Tyler Wang at No. 9 Park, in Boston, USA. Apparently inspired by Milk & Honey's Rome is Burning cocktail. I've used pink grapefruit soda as I believe this adds to this cocktail more than the club soda called for in Tyler's original recipe.
