Tried again with a few drops of Diffords Margarita Bitters. Made the cocktail a bit drier and added a little more hints of spice. As before we used 1/2 Reposado and 1/2 Anejo tequilas.

After reading the comments, decided to make this with 1/2 reposado and 1/2 anejo tequila. Brought out the tequila flavour along with a slight pepper/spicy taste.

A fun alternative to a margarita. The lime and maraschino are a fitting pair, but do hide some subtlety of the reposado. The egg white really lightens the mouthfeel and keep the drink clean and refreshing.

Added a reverse dry shake, which made it extra light and frothy. Enjoyed the Last Word-like combination of lime and maraschino. Would like the tequila flavor to be a little more forward (used Corralejo Reposado).

Dry shake is a great call. I've added above. Many thanks.
