As I was not convinced the first time, I gave it a second try. This time it was delicious. My advice is to try before adding the bitters and adjust the amount depending on the bitterness of the grapefruit juice (and the cherry brandy).

Seems like the amount of syrup would be overkill, but it’s just about right. Used fresh grapefruit.

A tasty, easy drinking cocktail. The cherry leads but a pleasant bitterness from the two juices.

Very fun cocktail. I agree with Sally Morgan, we tried as written and then put in 2 drops of orange bitters and it added another layer of flavour.

Agreed, better with bitters. However, trying the two, I prefered grapefruit bitters over orange bitters so I've added them to the recipe above. Many thanks, John and Sally.

There’s something a bit festive about this one - I nudged it a bit more in that direction by adding a dash of orange bitters
