I was wondering about an adaptation of this cocktail using whiskey, to honor Princess Margaret, who died on this day in 2002, as she was so fond of whiskey (if the Crown is accurate about this). Thoughts?

Simon, it’s also Mardi Gras!
Really nice. I wonder about using Dolin Blanc instead of dry wine? I will try that next time for fun!
Lovely cocktail to toast Queen Elizabeth II on Feb 6, 2023 and watch The Crown.
Very nice. I believe the orange twist is key, so much so that I also added a couple dashes Reagan’s orange bitters!
Very nice addition to my repertoire of equal parts cocktails! I think the Vermouth is key to how sweet it is. I used Vermut Lustau, which is a nice Spanish vermouth.
So very good! I made one tonight in celebration of James bond day!
Interesting. I’m still baffled by the taste. Thank you for your input
Quite lovely.
Simon, it’s Luxardo, 32% alcohol. I have not been impressed from the moment I opened it. It smells like vermouth and is not what I thought it would be.
Meh. Is it possible my marischino has turned? I have only had it a year, and I keep it in a cool cabinet. It never has tasted good. Is it possible it was bad when I purchased it?
I did not have orange flower water so I used orange bitters. I just put enough absinthe in to coat the inside of the chilled martini glass. I found this surprisingly good and will definitely make it again!
An appropriate post to celebrate the release (finally!) of the latest James Bond film. Thank you!
