Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Straight rye whiskey (100 proof /50% alc./vol.)
1 oz Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
12 oz Bigallet China China Amer
14 oz Amaro (e.g. Averna)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

The Creole Cocktail is one of my favorites. So I was immediately drawn to this post. It was terrific as well. I used a good Rye in Hemmingway and it was fantastic in this.
