How to make

Glassware

Serve in a Highball (max 10oz/300ml)

Prepare

Select and pre-chill a HIGHBALL (MAX 10OZ/300ML) GLASS.
Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.

Method

POUR all ingredients into ice-filled glass.
Briefly STIR.

Garnish

EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Used the same ingredients but a different dry gin, and everything took a backseat to the gin and ginger syrup. Needs some sort of tangy flavour from a fruit.

I didn't really like this one, it was very alcoholic and I even used a milder gin here (beefeater). I could imagine it being softened with sweet/sour somehow.

Was this boozy vibe intentional here?

Unfortunately messed up the measurements of the syrup (1:1 instead of 2:1) and just had some spice before the botanicals. Should measure the syrup more next time.
