Serve in a Highball (max 10oz/300ml)

Ingredients:
1 oz Rémy Martin V.S.O.P. cognac
12 oz Dark/black/blackstrap rum
12 oz Monin Vanilla Syrup
2 12 oz Milk (whole milk/full 3-4% fat)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Highball (max 10oz/300ml) glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of grated nutmeg.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.
  5. Garnish with dusting of nutmeg grated over cocktail.

Used a nice cognac and Jamaican Black rum. Perfect for an after-dinner cocktail or evening sipper. Sort of a light version of an eggnog without the heavy eggy taste.

In true rum drinkers style, we decided that it needed just a wee jolt more. Added a 151 rum float. Brought the rum flavour forward. Certainly a good night cap. zzzzzzzz

The dark rum makes this version of the Milk Punch a fair bit more interesting than the standard Brandy Milk Punch. A bit sweeter, and even more dessert drink adjacent.
