Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
12 oz Green Chartreuse (or alternative herbal liqueur)
12 oz Yellow Chartreuse (or génépy liqueur)
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime zest twist.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Express lime zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History:

Discovered in 2006 at Absinthe, San Francisco, where 'D Mexican' resurrected this drink from his hometown of Guadalajara.

Very good cocktail. We used less sugar syrup than in the recipe, but would leave out next time. That will let the flavours of the gin, and chartreuse shine. Great as an aperitif.

Loved it BUT ditch the simple syrup. It’s on the cloying side of sweet otherwise.
