With freshly squeezed juice, this is a sight tastier than its reputation might suggest. Long and refreshing. Spiked fresh orange juice with Southern Comfort and hints of sloe berry fruit.

I'm not sure when the Discerning Drinker ratings were submitted, but I wonder if many drinks containing Southern Comfort would rate higher now that it once again uses whiskey as the base spirit. This particular drink was pretty good with Wild Turkey "91" (50/50 mix of 81 & 101) & Hayman's Sloe Gin. Predominantly orange but a nice richness and complexity added by the other ingredients.

A much better drink with more whiskey, so a shot of bourbon (or equivalent) is much better. I made it with Tiger Snake whiskey and Karri Honey whiskey liqueur from great southern distillery. Much better that the bland whiskey-less modern version of southern comfort.
