History:

Named after the big chief Mardi Gras Indians that lead their tribes in New Orleans' St. Joseph's Day parade.

Adapted from a recipe created in 2016 by Abigail Deirdre Gullo at SoBou in New Orleans, USA. This is a riff on Abigail's own Longshoreman, which in turn was inspired by the Red Hook, one of a series of Manhattan-style cocktails named after districts of New York City.
