Rye whiskeys' strength and spice cuts through and dries the rich sultana notes of PX sherry with the bitters, particularly the walnut bitters, adding flavour and complexity.

Beautifully balanced. We love Rye and PX Sherry so what could possibly go wrong? And the bitters really broaden the complexity wonderfully.

Very, very dry. All I have is a grocery store Very Dry Sherry so I likely need a higher quality to really determine if this is right. I do taste the complexity of this however; its deep with the rye and the walnut bitters.

Yes, Px Sherry is very sweet, very rich and strong, lovely raisins. No substitute for it, imo.

Wild woman here: I had bourbon. I had an Amontillado sherry. I had homemade nocino from our walnut tree. It is sooooooo good.

Dominated by the rye and the walnut bitters. I like both, so this is good IMO, but I think if I dialed back the rye to 1 1/2 oz it might allow the PX sherry to come thru (and it is a waste of sherry if you can't taste it).
