Ingredients:
1 oz Rémy Martin V.S.O.P. cognac
13 oz Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur
14 oz Bittersweet orange-red aperitivo
16 oz Strucchi Red Bitter (Campari-style liqueur)
1 dash Peychaud's or other Creole-style bitters
1 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

I think Campari would have been a better fit. the Aperol and benedictine combination is too sweet.

Very nice cocktail. Did find it a bit sweet, but there is a nice peppery flavour and a wonderful herbal hints. Works well as an aperitif.
