The Latvian Bacardí Legacy 2015 winning cocktail by Juris Ķēniņš at Mute in Latvia.
In Old Havana, on Belgium Avenue, stands the Bacardí Building - considered to be the very embodiment of true Art Deco heritage. Cocktails are not my only passion, I love other fine things in life, including art and architecture.
Juris Ķēniņš, 2015
My cocktail inspiration comes from true art – the Bacardí building. It is a great example of how you can take the same principles and attention to detail used to make one of the finest rums in the world to build one of the finest Art Deco buildings in Latin America. As a bartender I wanted to create my own small piece of art – a legacy that will stand long after I am gone. Just like the Bacardí Building in Havana.
