Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
2 oz Ketel One Vodka
1⁄2 oz Heering Cherry Liqueur
1 1⁄2 oz Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
× 1 1 serving
Read about cocktail measures and measuring

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of pink grapefruit zest twist and skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and discarded.
  6. Garnish with skewered maraschino cherry.

Made a riff on this with gin, acid adjusted grapefruit juice and a splash of soda over ice. Not too bad!

We did not enjoy this flavor combination. The Cherry Heering was too predominant.

This is a wonderful cocktail. It is bitter sweet with a hint of cherry. Everything blends together perfectly. Will definitely have this one again.

One of those ones that shouldn’t work but it does - the cherry brandy and grapefruit riff perfectly off each other
