Glass:

Serve in a Hurricane glass

Ingredients:
13 fl oz Monin Grenadine Syrup
1 13 fl oz Patrón Silver blanco tequila
23 fl oz Cointreau L'Unique triple sec liqueur
23 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
14 fl oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)
16 fl oz Agave syrup (agave nectar)
14 barspoon Xanthan gum (E415)
1 13 fl oz Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
23 fl oz Bols Blue Curaçao
23 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
14 fl oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)
16 fl oz Agave syrup (agave nectar)
14 barspoon Xanthan gum (E415)

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a HURRICANE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime wedge and Luxardo Maraschino Cherry skewered with stars & stripes paper parasol.

How to make:

  1. Add a ¼ of 7oz scoop crushed ice to chilled glass and cover with grenadine.
  2. BLEND next 6 ingredients (tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sugar syrup, agave syrup and xanthan gum) with 7oz scoop crushed ice.
  3. POUR into glass over grenadine base.
  4. BLEND last 6 ingredients (mezcal, blue curaçao, lime juice, sugar syrup, agave syrup and xanthan gum) with 7oz scoop crushed ice.
  5. POUR into glass over last layer.

Garnish:

  1. Garnish with lime wedge and maraschino cherry skewered with paper parasol.
  2. Serve with a straw.

Review:

Use a straw to merge the layers of this tri-coloured Mezcal and Tequila Margarita or enjoy each layer separately, perhaps avoiding the sweet treat at the bottom. It packs a colourful celebratory punch!
