Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
2 oz Akvavit / Aquavit
34 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
4 drop Difford's Daiquiri Bitters optional
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of star anise.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Prepare garnish of star anise floated on surface.

History:

Adapted from a 2015 recipe by Kyle Webster at Expatriate, Portland, Oregon, USA. Kyles's original recipe of 2 aquavit, 1 lime juice and ¾ simple syrup (1:1) made from palm sugar.

My akevitt was mostly anise forward but the drink was still very nice, smooth and quaffable

Very nice. We knocked back the syrup a little and added your Daiquiri Bitters. And i can thoroughly recommend Bivrost aquavit. Will be making again!
