LOL, I seem to be following John Hinojosos in the comments.
I really like this cocktail.
A light, dry drink with the Montenegro providing a nice depth. Nicely balanced. Amaro shows upfront with a nice grapefruit acidity finish.

Citrusy and delightfully dry. Used a Flor de Cana light rum from Nicaragua which does not have added sugar to the rum. Worked great. Perfect.

This was excellent. I only had red G/f juice but who cares. A winner.

What a refreshing, interesting drink! The Amaro Montenegro lends this a fascinating, floral character and sweet vermouth gives it a little roundness. I increased the sugar just a bit as I had some very tart grapefruit but, otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing.
