Serve in a Coupe glass
1⁄2 oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄2 oz | Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed) |
1 barspoon | Powdered sugar (white sugar ground in mortar and pestle) |
1 2⁄3 oz | Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old) |
1⁄3 oz | Amaro Montenegro |
1⁄3 oz | Strucchi Rosso Vermouth |
Garnish: Coin-sized grapefruit zest twist
STIR lime and grapefruit juices with sugar in base of shaker until sugar is dissolved. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

I really like this cocktail.
A light, dry drink with the Montenegro providing a nice depth. Nicely balanced. Amaro shows upfront with a nice grapefruit acidity finish.
