How to make:
DRY BLEND (without ice) first 4 ingredients and gradually add Xanthan gum while continuing to blend. Add half a 7oz scoop of crushed ice and blend again. Pour into chilled glass.

The Kentucky Derby has long been associated with the Mint Julep and in 1959, the folk behind the Florida Derby turned to a famous local bar in search of a libation to serve at their own racecourse, Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach. So, in 1959, Mariano Licudine at The Mai-Kai Polynesian Restaurant and Tiki bar in Oakland Park, Florida, created the Derby, the official cocktail of the Florida Derby.
