Although I am admittedly biased, as I love Campari and Amaretto, I suggest any curious readers to try it for themselves, as this is really a an underrated cocktail, especially given the simplicity.
Amaretto is a bit of a thug (see also Frangelico) overpowering drinks, and initial hit is all Amaretto, but the bitter Cynar came through.
Interesting, enjoyable, but not a Favourite.
"A bit weird" says Mrs Jones.
On first dates, stick to Old Fashioned, Negroni or Tequila Espresso Martini.
Superb again.
Quite Amaretto-forward, but it becomes rounded out and complex.
A real treat after a weekend away bringing all the family together. Some me-time.
