1 23 oz Engine Gin
13 oz Pallini Limoncello liqueur
23 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Agave syrup
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of liquorice sugar rim.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

History:

The Checker A11 Marathon Taxi manufactured 1959–82 by Checker Motors is the archetypal American yellow cab, as iconic as a London black taxi.

The Yellow Cab cocktail, promoted by Engine Gin, pays homage to Marathon Taxi driven by Robert De Niro in the movie directed by Martin Scorsese, Taxi Driver. Engine Gin describe this cocktails as "a mash-up between a classic Margarita and Julio Bermejo's modern classic Tommy's Margarita."

As I sit on the sofa watching Eurovision. I find the perfect accompaniment is the lemony sweetness of this cocktail.
