Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 1⁄2 oz Ketel One Vodka
3⁄4 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
1⁄2 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1⁄6 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
1⁄4 oz Chilled water
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. RIM glass with salt (moisten outside edge with lemon juice and dip into salt).
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Very close to a Lemon Drop. Regardless both recipes are a hit. I use Mandarin Napoleon orange liqueur.

Love the different citrus tastes with each sip. The bitterness of the orange comes through with the clean taste of the vodka. This is perfect time to use your mid to upper range vodka in your drinks cabinet. We used Ultra 34 by Purity out of Sweden.

I just tried it with bison grass vodka (my favourite vodka for some time now). It is very much a citrus-forward drink, definitely has a 'clean' taste. I still prefer the brandy/cognac based Sidecar but it's an interesting twist for sour-lovers.
