Ingredients:
1 barspoon Orange marmalade
1 23 oz Patrón Reposado tequila
12 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
112 oz Agave syrup
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of quarter orange slice wheel.

How to make:

  1. STIR marmalade with tequila in base of shaker until it dissolves.
  2. Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
  3. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish:

  1. Garnish with quarter orange slice on rim.

Nice brunch drink with orange to the fore, oft-mentioned hint of bitterness, but also intense vegetal, slightly salty agave, at least with a decent Tequila like Olmeca Altos.

If you like your Margarita with a hint of bitter and not sweet, this is the one. The marmalade gives it an orange boost and a hint of bitter. Great cocktail for the afternoon or brunch. Key here is using a good marmalade that is not sweet.
