History:

Created by Jason Scott in 2002 at Oloroso in Edinburgh, Scotland.

This cocktail, which is red and contains rum, is named after Red Rum, the only horse in history to win England's Grand National three times (on his other two attempts, he came second). He became a British hero, appeared on the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show and paraded right up to his death at age 30 in 1995.

I made a version using a house made red currant and vanilla jelly, the result was easy drinking and pleasant.
