¹⁄₂ fl oz	Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
1 fl oz	Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
¹⁄₄ fl oz	Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water) 65.0°Brix

How to make

Glassware

Serve in a Sour or Martini/Coupette glass

Prepare

Select and pre-chill a SOUR OR MARTINI/COUPETTE GLASS.
Prepare garnish of skewered lemon slice wheel and Luxardo Maraschino Cherry sail. (Skewer through either side of lemon with cherry skewered in the centre.)

Method

SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

Garnish with skewered lemon slice wheel and maraschino cherry (sail).

A nice subtle introduction to Kummel, which is softened by the sweetness and complemented by the lemon. Not very sour overall, more of a dessert cocktail perhaps. Slightly baffled by the commenter who couldn't taste the Kummel; doubtless the main flavour for us.

My first tasting of Kümmel. Initially not sure if I liked this or not but one of those that gets better as you get used to it. I found it mellowed as it warmed up making it more easy drinking

I taste nothing but Maraschino and lemon. Should the Kummel be increased?
