Prepare

Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.

Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.

Method

SHAKE all ingredients with ice.

FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

Nice!
Skipped the sugar syrup and it was plenty sweet for me.
I didn't have a grapefruit twist, so I added a few drops of Malört :)

With 1/4 oz 1:1 simple syrup and around 2/3 Lime juice, this is a 4.5 Star cocktail for me. The flavor combination of Apricot, Gin & Grapefruit works very well together & has a level of complexity to it that I love in cocktails.

Rich apricot jam given a dark twist from the bitters and a segment of a charred orange wheel (we had no grapefruit). Made with Bombay Sapphire and the De Kuyper Apricot Brandy. Very nice, definitely worth more than 4 stars, added to the rotation.

I would actually go slightly lower than 15ml for the syrup. Otherwise, once it warms up after a few minutes it can lose its balance and become to sweet for my taste.
