History

Adapted from a recipe created by Brandyn Tepper at Saison & Angler, San Francisco, USA. Brandyn's original recipe is based on a trio of apple brandies: Adrien Camut six-year-old Calvados, St. George apple brandy and Laird's bottled-in-bond straight apple brandy.

Review

Brewed and distilled apple combine in this long dry (depending on your cider), very lightly carbonated "highball".

Only had bottled-in-bond applejack. I found the apple flavors to be somewhat musty and earthy - not as refreshing as I had hoped, and not an improvement on drinking the dry cider straight. Perhaps use of calvados and the applejack would have improved the drink.

Very refreshing and wonderful on a hot afternoon. Did up the bottled-in-bond to the same amount as the calvados. Gave the cocktail a little more of an alcohol hint. Is nice and dry with blend of all the different apple flavours.
