Glass:

Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
2 slice Fresh ginger root (thumbnail-sized slice)
2 fresh Mint leaves
1 12 fl oz Bourbon whiskey
1 fl oz Ginger liqueur
2 fl oz Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened)
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of mint sprigs.

How to make:

  1. MUDDLE ginger in base of shaker and then add mint and gentle muddle (just to bruise).
  2. Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
  3. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.

Garnish:

  1. Garnish with mint sprigs bouquet.

I had very good results with this recipe. Heavy handed muddling of the ginger and mint were key. Lovely, spicy, and fresh.

Certainly not unpleasant but unfortunately the total seems less than the sum of its parts.
