Serve in a Coupe glass
1⁄2 fresh | Passion fruit (fresh) |
1 1⁄2 oz | Patrón Reposado tequila |
3⁄4 oz | Cointreau triple sec liqueur |
3⁄4 oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄4 oz | Agave syrup |
Garnish: Lime juice and salt rim if desired. Float half passion fruit
Cut passion fruit in half and scoop out the flesh from one half into your shaker (retain the other half for garnish). Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice, and fine strain into chilled glass.
Subtle passion fruit flavour and tartness influence rather than dominate this Margarita, allowing the tequila and other ingredients to also shine. Fruity yet sophisticated.

Very well balanced - a very tasty and classy home cocktail.
The lime makes the passion fruit more complex, the agave balances again, and the tequila is quite restrained.
I'm having a second!
