Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Akvavit / Aquavit
34 oz Americano bianco
12 oz Torabhaig Peated Single Malt Whisky
14 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History:

Created in 2018 by Leo Robitschek at the NoMad Hotel in New York City and featured in his 2019 The NoMad Cocktail Book. Originally made with Laphroaig 10-Year Islay Scotch whisky.

Excellent cocktail. I used a mellow aquavit, Lysholm Line aquavit matured in sherry casks, and a not so smoky Johnny Walker Black Label whiskey.
