Chilled water/mineral water (omit if using wet ice)

Prepare

Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.

Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

STIR all ingredients with ice.

FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

This is like the “pot roast” of cocktails. You can take an inferior “cut of meat”, braise it with some “vegetables and herbs”. And make into something enjoyable.

Was looking for an after dinner cocktail to use up some left over red wine. This was perfect for the occasion. It was not overly sweet and perfect for after dinner or a night cap.
