This riff on a classic Americano benefits from the use of dual vermouths and swaps out soda for pilsner beer.

Pils is the vodka of beer, a drink I do not respect greatly to begin with, so I subbed with a nice wheat beer because the Angel Wore Red is such a good mix of beer and campari and I've been hooked by Americanos recently...this did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious.

The whole is less than the sum of the parts. My favorite style of beer is Czech Pils (if forced to pick), and I really enjoy Americanos and similar cocktails (e.g. Negroni and variants). This recipe falls short of this parentage.
