Hah! someone, somewhere has been playing games. The Venus/Milo cocktails share the same ingredients, but in slightly different proportions.
* Venus: 50ml gin / 25ml triple sec / 10ml sugar / 7x raspberries / 2x creole bitters //
* Milo: 60ml gin / 15ml triple sec / 7.5ml sugar / 4x raspberries / 1x creole bitters //
The Venus was excellent this evening. Now I have to try the [Milo]!

Thanks for pointing out, Mike. I've added a note and a link between both cocktails.

Substitute for the sugar syrup some of the syrup in your favorite cocktail cherry jar and double the bitters. Even better and not too sweet. A drier orange curacao is a balance if needed.

agree, bit too sweet as offered, although i am using 15% triple sec

i think the fact it lacks any acidity means the sweet has to be really more finely tuned
