How to make:

STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass.

Garnish:

Orange zest twist

Comment:

Scotch whisky and sweet vermouth combine harmoniously with ouzo providing subtle and complimentary aniseed notes.

Origin:

Created in December 2014 by yours truly (Simon Difford) as an adaption of a drink called an Islander created by Gary Regan which uses Pernod anis. Santorini is an island in the southern Aegean Sea and I was inspired to use combination of whisky and ouzo as I was presenting the mixability of scotch to Greek bartenders in Athens.
