Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz BarSol Mosto Verde Italia Pisco
13 oz Gentian liqueur (e.g. Suze, Salers etc)
1 14 oz Pineapple juice
12 oz Sauvignon blanc wine
13 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of pineapple wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  5. Garnish with pineapple wedge on rim.

Last time I checked, it was still a criminal offence in France to mix Suze and pineapple juice ;) Well they're clearly missing out, this is sumptuous.

I like Suze, however here the flavors didn’t work for me in this cocktail
Maybe it’s because I didn’t want to open any wine, so I’ve used vermouth instead

I agree - I think without ice works really well. A good one to introduce someone gently to gentian based liqueurs as the flavours blend so well here

This is very nice. I was out of Suze so used Bols Genever which I think made it a touch sweeter

This is really good. Love the silky smooth shaken pineapple texture. Try it without ice.
