Glass:

Ingredients:
1 23 oz Gold rum (1-3 years old pot & column blend)
23 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
16 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
16 oz Chilled water omit if using wet ice
2 drop Saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or merest pinch of s
112 oz Framboise/raspberry eau-de-vie

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

How to make:

  1. SHAKE first 5 or 6 ingredients (all but raspberry eau de vie) with ice.
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  3. FLOAT eau-de-vie.

Garnish:

  1. Garnish with maraschino cherry dopped into cocktail.

Review:

As with all Daiquiris, a perfect Montana is finely balanced, including achieving the ideal dilution. The maraschino liqueur and framboise eau de vie add subtle but pleasing fruitiness.

Adapted from a recipe created in 2024 by Lorenzo Antinori and Simone Caporale at their Montana bar in Hong Kong where this is the house Daiquiri.

This Montana native thinks this Daiquiri is excellent. The wife really enjoyed it as well.
