Glass:

Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
1 fl oz Ketel One Vodka
13 fl oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
13 fl oz Joseph Cartron Double Crème de Cassis de Bourgogne
13 fl oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth chilled
1 fl oz Cranberry juice (sweetened) chilled
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of skewered blackberries.

How to make:

  1. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Created in 1998 by yours truly and reformulated on 11th October 2025. The original recipe:
45ml (1½oz) Vodka
7.5ml (¼oz) London dry gin
7.5ml (¼oz) Crème de cassis
45ml (1½oz) Cranberry juice

  • 15.6 grams of pure alcohol

After 27 years, I've just revisited this recipe, adding dry vermouth to help balance and structure.

And I commend you for that! We now have a delightfully fruity Martini that has a lot more substance.

I can see myself sipping this throughout Christmas season whenever I would usually have had vodka with cranberry juice. Brings the whole thing to a new level 👌
