Review:

This riff on a Final Ward is both bitter sweet and sweet 'n' sour. It's challenging, complex and a most interesting example of inspired bartending creativity.

History:

Adapted from recipe created in 2016 by Channing Centeno at Momofuku Ko, New York City, USA. "While craving a Final Ward at home, I realized I didn't have any Chartreuse. I subbed in Suze and some cardamom bitters for an added spice. It's now an instant classic at my bar and household."

Channing's original spec is equal parts (¾ oz of each) Suze, lemon juice, rye whiskey, Luxardo Maraschino and 4 dashes cardamom bitters.
