Serve in a Hurricane glass

Ingredients:
2 oz Light gold rum (1-3 year old molasses column)
1 oz Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1 fresh Banana (preferably overripe)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a HURRICANE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of banana chunk (cut garnish from centre of banana and place the rest in the blender to make the cocktail).
  3. BLEND all ingredients with 7oz scoop of crushed ice.
  4. Garnish with banana chunk on rim.

Legendary Tiki bartender Harry K. Yee is credited with being the first to add banana to a Daiquiri at Henry Kaiser's Hawaiian Village Hotel in Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii.

Yes. He is Alejandro Bolivar, head bartender at the legendary El Floridita in Havana, Cuba. Video shot in my last home bar, the Cabinet Room, when he was visiting London.

I didn't have a overripe banana. I took sweeter liqueur.
