Review:

A wonderfully complex Cherry Old Fashioned. Kat's original recipe calls for an Acerola cherry juice sugar syrup (1:1) which arguably has more of an apricot than cherry taste. Ideally, you'd make this syrup to make the cocktail but I found cherry brandy (or even equal parts cherry and apricot brandy liqueurs) work well as an alternative, and produce a more radiant cocktail (as photographed).

Rich, flavourful and strong. [Just the kind of cocktail I enjoy!] The tequila, amaro, cherry, mint, and chocolate make quite an impression. This cocktail offers a lot to mull over and savour.
