Vodka-laced grape juice is delicious in this cocktail with layers of complexity thanks to judicious additions of characterful dry vermouth, Chartreuse, grappa, and absinthe.

Amazing how just 5ml Grappa asserts itself so overbearingly here...and we love Grappa. And a bunch of both green and red grapes to be purchased for the delight of a single red one perched on glass's rim? We called this "Big hitters' dog's breakfast", the big hitters being the Nonino Grappa, Green Chartreuse and Absinthe. We thought it might come together as it settled in the glass, but not really. So sorry to be negative but it is what it is.
