  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of skewered raspberry.

Review

Jody's original recipe is stirred but if using freshly pressed pomegranate juice then the cocktail will be cloudy anyway and I prefer this fruity and funky cocktail enlivened by a good shake. I also like it served on-the-rocks.

I'm sure the original is lovely - but I was looking for an emergency cocktail to lift our spirits (see what I did there?) during a power cut and substituted 1/4 grenadine and 3/4 lime for the fresh pomegranate juice and a blended whisky for the (I'm sure infinitely superior) New Make Spirit and it worked out ok (wish I could say as much for our fried central heating controls!). Perhaps my version is a Powercut Gem?
