Glass:

Serve in a Flute glass

Ingredients:
1 cube Demerara / dark Muscovado / brown sugar
1 fresh Lemon peel
1 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
12 oz Cognac (brandy) chilled
12 oz Grand Marnier or other cognac orange liqueur chilled
5 12 oz Brut champagne/sparkling wine chilled
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select a FLUTE GLASS.
  2. No garnish to prepare.

How to make:

  1. RUB a sugar cube with a lemon zest (or on the skin of an unwaxed lemon) and then coat cube with a dash of bitters. Drop cube into chilled glass.
  2. POUR chilled brandy and liqueur over soaked cube.
  3. TOP with sparkling wine.

Garnish:

  1. Serve naked, without garnish.

Agreed with the others. When my flute was almost empty, I run to the kitchen to fill it up, very nice cocktail 😊

Very nice champaign cocktail. Good balance, but I felt the orange flavour. May try with one dash of angostura and one of orange bitters.
