fl oz Bourbon whiskey
¾ fl oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice
¾ fl oz Freshly squeezed orange juice
¼ fl oz Giffard Sirop Grenadine (Grenadine Syrup)
½ fl oz Chilled water (omit if wet ice)

SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

Garnish:

Orange slice & cherry on stick (sail)

This is a spirited, sweet and sour combination - like most politicians.

About:

Ward Eight was a voting district of Boston and famed for its political corruption. This drink was first served by Tom Hussion in November 1898 at Boston's Locke-Ober Café, in honour of Martin Lomasney, who owned the café and was running for election in Ward Eight.
