Prepare

Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.

Prepare garnish of apple or pear slice, fresh or dehydrated.

Method

SHAKE all ingredients with ice.

FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Had forgotten what a lovely little cocktail this is. Perfect for a rare outdoors evening in early October, such as the one we just enjoyed today. No idea why it gets such a low "Discerning Drinkers" rating, as this remains a real go-to autumnal recipe for us!

Front lead in page from email shows "Aged rum" as an ingredient however, recipe shows vodka.

The ingredients for this one are really playing up! Now the menu (Autumn cocktails) claims "calvados, vodka, pear and cognac liqueur" but the recipe is different, and omits the vodka altogether. (And no aged rum, either!). No longer sure how this one is supposed to be made any more :(

Thanks for flagging Florian. I amended recipe 20/Oct/21 to move calvados, the main ingredient, to the top and obviously made a hash of it. Now fixed. Thankfully, I keep notes.
